Global Professional Exchanges
KNOWLEGE AND SKILLS SHARED AT THE GLOBAL LEVEL
We share best practices worldwide, emphasizing hands-on, practical learning in industries such as public education, manufacturing, waste management, elder care, and locomotive engineering, tailored for mid-career professionals and practitioners.
SHARING BEST PRACTICES
In 2025, we are pioneering a 10-day, active learning program in Japan designed for Washington State public school K-12 Social Studies and History teachers, offering a reflective exploration of the eighty years of post-WWII collaboration.
The educators from both countries will conduct meaningful professional interactions, sharing their best practices in Tokyo and Hyogo, Washington's sister state, which recently celebrated sixty years of sister-state relations.
HISTORICAL EXPLORATION
Our delegation will engage with the local communities in historically significant sites, including Hiroshima, Hyogo, and Tokyo.
"Everyone talks about peace, but no one educates for peace. In this world, they educate for competition, and competition is the beginning of any war. When educating to cooperate and owe each other solidarity, that day we will be educating for peace.” - María Montessori (1870 - 1952)
GOVERNMENT INSIGHTS
Valuable insights into Japan will be provided by our diplomatic friends and colleagues at the U.S. State Department.
EDUCATOR EMPOWERMENT
Through our partnership with the Washington State Board of Education and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), we ensure that educators' participation counts toward their clock hours or continuing education credits.
Upon their return, program participants become catalysts for change as they create a ripple effect of knowledge dissemination as "influencers", and foster a culture of global understanding.
